Hi,
got this problem and i hope u can help me out

i got this kick sound awesome... and look like this http://download.yousendit.com/18AE6B693B006D4F
but when i put it on cubase the freq change, plus become wider in freq range (and so does the sound change) even if the file details match the host ones...
why is that happening, and how can i use the original sound in cubase as well.
i try'd to apply some eq but its does the sound no justice... wired problem

as i know good kick shold look most of the time like this, and basicly deep sounds work at that freq...
so hope i was able to be clear with my problem....           HUGE BIG BLUE-MARVEL THAT WE LIVE ON

I'd double check the frequency & sample rate, but it sounds like you may already have done that. Sometimes when using multiple music apps, & the same soundcard, cubase would switch sample rates on me when bouncing back & forth.           Keep The Faith,

For what i´ve heard , the EQ´s on cubase aren´t that good.

try the URS EQ´s they are the best

every player got diferent output
if you play track on media player it will sound diferent than on cubase but the source is still the same.
you should check if you play the track throu the main output without eq plugin or filter on the output channel.

try to check, maybe you play stereo wave on mono channel?

The sample rate is wrong, so when u import it, it speeds the sample up.
Seing as the sample is so short you don't notice the time increase...
Try "time-"stretch", I had the same prob with vocal samples...           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

try playing the file from winamp and routing it into you input and then record it into cubase.           Work like you don't need the money.
