Is there a way and I'm missing it to apply some logical editing for automation curves (half/double tempo/reverse events etc.) ???

I don't think there is in SX 3 or 4 at the moment, although I'm not sure about Cubase 4 as I'm still on 3. Nuendo 4 has the Project Logical Editor which I think can do what you want.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

the logical editor is more for notation isn`t it? for actions like delete every note on c3 and c5 or something like that..i don`t know but don`t think that you can influence automation curves with it..for tempo changes you got the extra tempo automation..but you have to activate it before..do you know wich one i`m talking about?

and reverse action..is just an option for for audio regions..from cubase side..right click on region then effects and reverse..set it as shortcut if you like..

and for midi reverse you have to do it in your instrument..like in battery there is the reverse mode..wich can be activated with automation..just search for the parameter in automation track of your instrument..if there is one..

hope that helps..           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

No - for all kinds of MIDI events. Automation events are not MIDI events (although automation can generate MIDI) so the Logical Editor can't work on them.

He wants to double/halve tempo of specific sections of automation data only, not the whole track.

Not true, there's an option in the Functions menu which will reverse any selected MIDI events. Again, this is off-topic anyway.

Again, he wants to reverse specific areas of automation data, not samples playing from Battery.

Kind heart for wanting to help... the actual answer was a bit of a car-crash           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

ok..i agree.i was to quick with my answers..i thought he would reverse the whole signal not just automation..and battery was just an example regarding this..
