hi dudes, does anyone here uses cubase 64bit version? is it good? are the plugins(all, not only native ones) already availible in 64 bit?

can you tell me if this machine is good to run cubase 5 with a bunch of channels and plugins )

I tried 64 bit Cubase 5 on my Windows 7 64-bit i7 system, and it was a huge hassle. I would recommend just using 32 bit Cubase 5 on the 64 bit Windows 7.

The reason for this is A LOT of the plugins that you love now will not work in Cubase 5 64-bit. They will crash randomly, the GUI's will be messed up, etc.

Also, you have to basically buy this 'wrapping software' from some guy on the internet that makes more of the plugins work better, but they still won't be stable enough. Just wait until Steinberg and everyone else figures out what to do with 64 bit plugs and how the DAWs handle 32 bit plugs, then it'll be time to go for the 64 bit DAW.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

I made the switch to 64 bit Cakewalk Sonar, and many new plugins are available in 64 bit. Your old favorite ones may not work as well, but I personally don't feel like I'm missing anything special.

Depends how much you love your old plugins.
