True, it is the same situation like for Microsoft Windows Every second version is good:
-Win ME - worst piece of shit I have ever seen
-Win2000/XP - really good
-Win Vista - another piece of crap
-Win7 - really good (for me it's perfect system. ok maybe in 90% because i still need to install some external multimedia software)
-Win8 - i expect another unsuccessful attempt.

So i saved my money for Cubase7 and i still sit on v5           http://www.beatport.com/release/cross-the-atoms/1042450

true that. i am on c5 and will wait for c7 even though with the update now c6 is tempting for the first time but it will be the same cost to upgrade now or to seven later on, so fuck you steinberg for upgrade policy and i will wait.

on a sidenote: instead of adding new shit they should improve the "bread and butter" stuff like compressors and eqs for a MUCH better sound. they suck ass and are still the things i would use mostly. a really nice sounding internal eq and sidechain comp with balls would be better than any additional blingbling by far imho.
(even though padshop looks darn interesting )

ableton is bugy and a cpu hog ! but yeah i like it too but now it s dead , i have read their best programers left for making bitwig .
that would be a reason why live users say there is nothing new and intresting update with live since...

...Could aswell just be PR for bitwing. Ableton is a big company, Im sure they have no problems finding skilled developers again....           My first track:

i hope man competition can only be better for us.. it will be probably hard to replace them though..

i also read on kvr the guy who made surge is working for bitwig too, if he is working on the synths look like they have a good team to make a awesome product and to make what live users hopes, many are disapointed with what live have become, bitwig will probably adress that for us.

+1 yep. trolls gonna troll, haters gonna hate.
There is only one software that deserves to be called the king of DAW. It's called ProTracker!

The best DAW is the one you know how to use. It could be Cubase, Ableton or whatever...

Almost every native VSTi in cubase is crap IMHO.
Maybe something that is finaly worth a look into are these two.

i remember reading something about the daw used by a list of well known electronic producers, and Logic and Live were clearly the 2 most popular daws in the list by far ,it s approximately equal between these 2.
cubase is become way less popular it seems for electronic producers, cause i think the lack of great quality plugins and workflow is ok.. but not great like in live while logic have great midi editing and top plugins.

Just because its popular doesn't make it "better"
Midihandling is excellent in Cubase if you ask me.
