Hello guys...
Any of you have problems with asio clipping in cubase 5 with a saffire 6 usb???
I have the last focusrite driver (1.8).
The strange thing is my asio meter clipping so much and wen i switch the vst connection to work with the onboard audio card the asio meter is better (down) than with the saffire 6 usb.
I have a asus g73jh laptop with i7 processor 8 gbram with windows 7 64 bits and cubase 5 (32 bits).
Thanks for the help

check the focusrite site for updates, I also had problems with my focusrite pro24, I believe it had something to do with x64 OS. They should have fixed it because I no longer have problems with it. This was firewire though.

Just for comparison...
How much yours pcs handle with normal projects...
How much audio tracks and vst you can put in one project without problems.
in this project i work now, i have 20/30 at the max audio tracks and 3 vst, one fx channel and 2 or 3 eq's..

We have a quad-core with 4gb ram and can easily drive 40 audio channels and minimum 15 vst channels with minimum 1 plugin per channel on our current settings.

If you have had problems seeing the Focusrite ASIO Driver in your DAW then you will need to perform the following actions:

1)Install the Focusrite USB Drivers version 1.8
2)Uninstall 1.8 (this will clear any setup problems caused by previous installs)

3)Re-install the Focusrite USB Drivers 1.8 |

Did you try that?
