Cubase 5 trouble

Hey guys, i´ve always used cubase 3 SX, i recently aquired cubase 5, im very satisfied with the product, but im having a few problems, maybe you guys can help me out, im using under windows 7 64 bits.
- Export audio mixdown only works on realtime;
- vb1 is not working, i think it only works on 32 bits, if so, any sugestions for me to replace?
- Do you know any good synths for free that are 64 bits or vst3?

i like the new cubase synths a lot (mystic, prologue, spector). they should all work in 64-bit, yeah?
in terms of vb-1, might be worth checking on the cubase.net forum!

What I did on my 64 bit pc is load a 64 bit version and a 32 bit version of c5. I did this because the VST bridge is worthless in C5 and my 32 bit plugs didnt work in 64 bit cubase...I have found that this works great. I have not even began to venture into mastering yet, but when I do I will probably use 64 bit for that. For my production I am good with the 32 bit. I have heard there is not much difference...I am a beginner though, so I wouldn't know for sure, but from what I can tell there is no difference to sound, especially in 44.1 24 or 16 bit.
VB1 does work in 32 bit as well as quadrafuzz, lm7, etc, etc....
assumption is the mother of all fuckups. |

Hey guys, thanx for the repplies, i agree aeon, the synths are amazing, my music sounds much better now, i got some baselines ready that i created before installing cubase 5, so i was using them. I tried the jbridge, recreated the dll but vb1 still didnt work, when i punch the keyboard a constant note apears (a lot of peaple have this same problem, i saw on steinberg forum, no solutions though), maybe the 32 bit version will work. Ill try to install it as soon as i can couse my HD stopped last week, so im fu%$¨¨&, well, shit happens... When i fix it ill post again. |

I've got the same system, Cubase 5 under Win7 64bit and Vb1 works fine. As for Realtime exporting, it only appends if I've got an hardware synth connected.
Maybe you are using cracked versions of either cubase5 or win7 ? |

Hey guys, i just fixed my PC and im now reinstalling cubase. Ill post whatever happens soon. Both windows and cubase are licensed minddoctorsmakeacid, im gonna install cubase 32 bit 2 if 64 bit version still dont work with vb1. |
