Hey guys,
Has anyone here had problems doing a realtime export with Cubase 5? I get a cpu overload error and the export stops.
I can work around the problem by bouncing down everything to audio & then doing a normal export but i'm wondering why i'm getting this error.
Just so you know this problem is with a track that was originally started on SX3 then i worked on it a bit with C4 & now C5.
I'm on Cubase 5.0.1, XP SP3 & trying to do a real time export with the Virus TI.

had this problem once on cubase 4 with a plugin
just hit f11 and try which one it is (you still can render it ffwd)
this VST2 BridgeApp crashes quite often :S
i mean, for the virus tracks you need to realtime export ...
but maybe another one vst plug-in used not like that mode. http://www.myspace.com/realtimeproject |

I've had the same problem before as well. I just froze a couple of other tracks and then did the realtime export. I think it's simply that you are having occasional overloads and since it's realtime it can't make up for the glitches. Rather than give you messed up audio it stops the export.
There might possibly be a bug thats causing this to happen but it hasn't happened to me for quite a while.
I'm on Cubase 5.0.1 & Windows 7

Apparently it's a known bug which will hopefully be fixed in the next update. For the moment i found a workaround, i just route the output bus to a stereo channel & record the audio in real time.

this way i work all the time, and i find this way extremely cool, coz after you made a cool lead, you are able to apply offline audio processes.
you just create an audiotrack, hit * on the numpad and record. much faster then export --> audio mixdown -->import btw.
however sure its not good there is a bug at all...
