Hi guys

I just started to learn Cubase 5 because of some collab reasons. I am myself on Ableton Live for a while back and tend to stay there as well.

But I have one thing that bugs me in Cubase 5 and that is the opposite of that of my Live is doing automaticly, and that is to make all my imported audio files fit the songs tempo right away.

For example the imported audio file won't overlap beats etc. Like importing a 140bpm VFX sweep to a 145bpm song in live will warp it to 145 perfectly on my live. Or VEC cymbals that are otherwise 140bpm will be converted to 145bpm.

How do I do this on Cubase. No matter if it's hard or complex. I want to learn it Maybe I have missed a setting like that in live?

Thanks guys

- cheers

When you view the loop in your Pool, there should be an option called Musical Mode you can put an X in (to enable it.)

If the BPM is embedded in the file, it'll automatically stretch it when you select Musical Mode.

If the BPM isn't detected, double click the file to open it in your Sample Edit window and input the BPM manually (if you know it.) remember to kee[ musical mode on.           www.facebook.com/chemogen

You can also put the locators around the loop and process / time stretch. Use the best algorithm available
