Just in case some of you loyal customers missed it..it`s out and its an fantastic update as far as i can say now..
its possible to change the colour now for example..just a little thing but still pretty nice..a bloodred cubase looks great
numerous other little improvements and gimmicks, bug fixes..on mac it really seems like they worked out the advantage of snow leopardin the cubase code. Just one thing..no mac 64 Bit version available by now..sadly..i hope it gets not cracked again..
cheers

OT DISCLAIMER
Cracked or not cracked is not the point.
IMHO they are too slow to update their sw (i said that after reading your "eternity" post at steinberg). I am amazed from the short release cycle in Reaper development (1 release every 7/10 days not to mention release candidates and prerelease). And guess what? Reaper is not copy protected in any way. So is there is not a strict relation between piracy and development.
More: few days ago i asked for a feature in the Reaper forum and after less than a day they released the new version fulfilling my wish.
Is so nice to use a software when you can speak every day with the dev team!

hm sounds great actualy..but i won`t change my system anyway now..
i don`t know reaper that well but it always seemed to me like a semiproffesional sequencer compared to cubase for example..don`t know how it is nowadays..
how is it?

(MORE) OT DISCLAIMER
Reaper's development model is the that i can imagine, very community oriented (the forum is very active for feature requests and bug solving), the software is ok, the routing is awesome, and there are a lot of quality plugs included (often developed by schwa/stillwell). As you can understand i am a reaper fan, unluckily i can't say if it's pro or not cause i am not a pro, but is a great daw and is still improving, for sure.
BTW if you are curious have a try, in less than 5 mega you can download the full functional demo that is not limited in any way. You can run it even from a usb stick if you don't want to mess up your disk.
edit: i've heard some great things done by Medea/Aedem with Reaper! http://soundcloud.com/alphadelphi |

Having no problems with mine. Only issue I had was I had to re-load renegade VST. Everything else is working just fine tho |

i didn't like the fonts, but then i adjusted windows ClearType and now they're much better.
overall the functionality for me is better (and cubase runs faster) but i don't really like the new GUI.
on the whole i want a stable functional program more than a pretty one, so yeah. i like.

most cubase updates usually concern changing colours and GUI changes
after the disappointment of 4.x
i've upgraded to 5.0 and 5.1 and i say it certainly worth the money.
but no reason for 5.5 until all cubase.net hardcore users say so.
