Hey guys,

Steinberg has come out with the new Cubase 5.1 update. Anyone checked it out yet? I've downloaded it but still have to give it a go. The previous version was working pretty good for me except for real-time exports messing
up sometimes.          http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

Not looking awesome... no bug fixes for most users, and a new one introduced it seems.

Reading other threads it seems that more bugs have been fixed than the version history shows; the history only contains details of fixed bugs that the public was already aware of.

Well i'm not happy with this update, the previous version was definitely more stable. I'm getting dropouts & it has also crashed a couple of times.           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

kajola,
bro can you list your system specs?

I'm on C 5.1, Windows XP SP3, Q6600. Anyone else having these dropout issues?

Lol, Mark, I guess that is about the only thing we agree to disagree on...

I must say though that 5.1 in PT LE really is damned stable now, PT 8 anyway is very nice, thinking to use it for live sets!          Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

yea..i agree..i actualy know protools 7..

i wonder how you would think about it, when you`ve tried cubase or nuendo for this purpose..

what sucks with protools imo is that u r forced to use digidesign hardware..wich is not bad for sure..

whatever..the music rules in the end           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

yeah sure..and extend it with a lightbridge for example..

http://shop.digitalaudioservice.com//product_info.php/products_id/3902

but i prefer cubase because i wouldn`t like to miss my rme hardware..and imo , m-audio is not one of the best solutions..

but everybody has to decide for himself..           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

Yes, you can use M-Audio Hardware with Pro Tools M powered, which does not let you extend to Music Production toolkit or even complete toolkit, meaning 5.1 no possible Baba! True, you pay a lot for the gear, but I must say, it really works flawless!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:
