Cubase 4 works at 32 bit float internal resolution!
So, any VSTS that are used in the program will work at 32 bit as well or it depends on the vsts?????
Can anyone give me a brief description, answer on this please?
Thanks pple |

depends on the vsts.
most of the vsts nowdays use 64bit for internal processing.

I would not be so sure about that!
The easy way to check your vst's is to run it in wavelab and to use the bit meter...you'd be surprised how many trashy vst's you got hehe, now it's good time to clean up your vst folder!
Good Luck

As Alien Bug points out, this won't tell you what the plugin is doing internally. Also isn't Wavelab only 32 bit? It won't tell you when a plugin accepts and delivers 64 bit audio. (Not that Cubase 4 supports 64 bit anyway).

NO, he didn't point me to anywhere, all he did is just repeated the sentence from 0hz!

Yes it dose, the bit meter in wavelab has mark --> below, which indicates higher bit rates than 24....offcouse it's didn't shows exact bits megerments, it's could be 32 or 64, but what plugins work internally at 64 anyways? I know only few and most of them works on dsp chips cose to calculate audio signal at 64Bit resolution it's needs a lot of cpu power!
btw, so sad that votes for president is locked, i wanted to add my vote too

well, it was a question i had but ,anyway i allways choose plug-ins by the way they sound and their sound quality, if they have higher bit rates and the cpu suports them well, the better!
Isn't that the way?? lololol |
