cubase 4 mixer issue?

Hi,sometimes when i select an effect to one of the chennels in the mixer it locks it,i cant de-select it,edit or select another one? any ideas?

Maybe try to delete the preference file and restart cubase..this folder is often messed up with unneeded stuff and cubase gets confused..
