you're definitely right, if it works like my mind imagines it right now. and if it can be exported and stored in some 'open' way such that it could be recovered after a reinstallation etc.

Yes, how could i miss that? 
I think what they really need to work on is "non floating windows". They are really annoying. Can't they have an option that the windows stick to their places and not being minimized/maximized all the freaking time?

if you have a nice established way to make tracks in a _working_ environment, have your nice set of effect and instrument plugins and don't miss any major feature, don't do it.
