what is it loading when it crashes?

u can see this on the startup screen, u see the text changing very rapidly while he is loading all kinds of protocols and programmes and plugins, and what u have to watch out for is what he is loading the moment it crashes. then (if possible) uninstall that part.

...because it's cracked?

Try uninstalling the VSTs and systematically adding them to see if one if them is causing the crash.

Assuming that the problem occurs due to a bad VST, I think there's no need to uninstall everything.

Just, go to steinberg vstplugins, move all existing dirs and files to a temporary folder and start Cubase.

If Cubase came up successfully, close it, move back some (not all) dirs, and starts Cubase again. Repeat the process until you discover the bad VST.

Don't go asking for support if you use cracked software! The FAQ clearly states no talk about warez.

I wouldn't call myself mr. righteous but asking for support on a cracked product is really out of place imho.

its probably the Dongle software trying to load.
Which has become corrupt due to AntiVirus.

Uninstall Cubase 3 and the SyncroSoft EMU...and Lisence.

Then re-install.

What Anti Virus u using?

I had similar problems which turned out to be due to the Waves DX wrapper. Try removing waves from the plugins folder as suggested by woyzeck

i agree with the other people here... cubase usually doesn't crash, it's the vst instruments or plugins which bite each other... take em out and see what happens then... good luck

Hi saimahadeva,

Some people are reporting that Cubase Time Stretch init error is a problem of the cracked version only.

But, in doubt, here are some other tips:

* do you have an older version of Cubase installed? Remove their preferences from c:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\application data\Steinberg\

* Go to c:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\application data\Steinberg\Cubase SX3 and rename Midi Devices.bin

* Check out Cubase SX.log

Cracked version normally is better then the original sx3 version.

So maybe it is a vst plugin? Just rename ur vst folder and try again.            Signature

Hi saimahadeva,

Please, rename it to some other name like "midi devices.xxx" and start Cubase.
