I´m trying to make music at 48 Khz... HOw do I do this with Cubase SX 2.0??? Is it possible?

Cause I tried to change it at the sound card panel. But when I open Cubase and a new project, it seems that the program auto changes again to 44.1. I´m sure I´m missing something here, but don´t knwo what...

I also tried to change it via Cubase(it opens the same sc panel), but no sucess... Sometimes the Cubase just crash when I try this, and I need to restart my pc.

What sound card are you using? And what drivers for the sound card?

you need to configure your sound card is what it sounds like.           www.organicparadox.com

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

whats wrong with 44.1? eventually you`ll export your track at that resolution, so why fight with your cubase?           check out! www.soundclick.com/spasm

Hey Colin. I´m using Motu 828 mkii.

OP, I´ve already configured my sc to work on 48. But when I run Cubase, it changes auto to 44.1(open a window saying that the clock has changed to 44.1).

And BA, it´s just a test I want to make. Making tracks on 48... And export at 24bit 48kHz. Don´t u think it could be better to do a master work on 24/48 wav file?? I´don´t know the asnwer of this question...           LOADING...

Cubase SX2 on the PC has a known bug which means that sample rates other than 44.1KHz are not properly supported on some systems; sounds like you have one of these.

Try disabling all Windows system sounds, or using the on-board soundcard on your motherboard for these and keeping the MOTU for production only.

If your music is destined for CD you will have to smaple-rate convert to 44.1 anyway, which will probably have a bad effect on the sound. IMO you'd be better off staying at 44.1KHz all the way.
