Not sure if this goes here but I'm heading to Cuba next August (2010) and wanted to know if there was a psy/prog scene and who to contact re dj gigs and send demos etc?

Electronic music does exist there but it is so so small.... but its there.
I was in Habana in 2008. went to some small electronic pool party at some sort of country club . it was a a big mix up of trance, minimal electro DnB etc. there was only 2 Djs taking turns all night. it wasnt a trance party more like a club party, was fun tho, crazy sexy cubans jumping and diving off the diving boards into the pool all night.
ask the kids around havana veija, maybe youll find something.

LOL !! A psytrance party in Cuba would be something phenomenal, but I believe it's very improbable, Cubans don't like electronic music, and the foreigners that get there are not interested in such a thing, they go there for the tobacco, rum and cubanas. |
