Hi Guys anyone wanna share how to make leads like these examples. Not the melodies, but the synthesis and processing behind it. When I make leads with supersaws it's not even close to this crystal clear sounds.
ex. 1 at around 1:28ish forward.
ex 2. main lead 2:30ish forward
ex 3. main lead 4:40ish
ex 4. Main lead at 3:40 forward
many many more examples from hommega artists and utopia as well that have so good mixed in leads. Anyone that are willing to help?

I do think the magic of those leads, are the notes played... can't help you how to do it but they remind me that old days of gataka and ananda shake

I would start with a typically trance supersaw
with short sustain/release or with a short gate on every note. Here is a tut how to do the trance supersaw with synth1:

Like Panike says its not only the supersaw its the notes to ... and the correct cut off automation... check the mother of all leads here in isra . and good luck
a good melody can make an horrible synth patch sound good!
the synths you said are pretty but no massive imo. they are just well placed.
good synth, good reverb, carefull eq. to make them fit the track and so on.

agreed. i wasn't too blown away by the xamples actually, i've heard amaazing orchestral supersaws in trance tunes tho...
all about the melody and harmony.
honestly once you have the concept down, just mess with it a BUNCH and listen very close to how you change the sound...
the basic concept being...
detuned saw waves. i'd say the max you can detune and still have it be very musical is about 30 cents. adding more oscillators makes it 'thicker.' adding modulation effects like chorus and flanger also makes it thicker.
a trick i recently learned is to modulate the pitch of one oscillator subtly with an LFO. gives the same waveform as square wave PWM. badass stuff.
from there, just add reverb to add space... then EQ, probably cutting mids and hipassing, to fit with the rest of your mix.

to me, just my personal taste, this is one of the most overused sounds in trance and honestly it doesn't even sound so nice to me, don't really get why it became such a staple sound.
take almost any vanguard factory patch, tweak a bit, there you go.
if you want it with more quality then go for a virus or k-station.
here it is with v-station:
you can do it with almost any synth but those that have fat/unison modes will sound much thicker.
