Cross-plugin modulation matrix - is that possible?

What do I want:

Imagine I have two different vst plugins on two different tracks.

For example, I want to achieve, that, if I raise the filter cutoff on plugin A, the filter cutoff of Plugin B raises also (or goes down).

Imagine a plugin, that would scan ALL automatable parameters of ALL plugins used in a project, and give a possibility to route any of them to any, with usual for mod-matrix source-range-destination way. Would be extremely useful i think.

Is that already possible anywhere anyhow?           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

in FL studio, no problem.
you can assign one knob on everything you want.
after everything moves together, and on each parameter you assigned that knob you can decide how it will react. (invert, logarythmic move, complex shapes ...)

to do, when you "link to controller", you just uncheck the "remove conflicts". Then see the mapping formula. Then if you like math .. you may have fun.

in cubase i have no clue if its possible.

It is possible in Reaktor, but it your fx would still be running inside another environment (Reaktor) and you would be limited to the fx that are there or what you could build in Reaktor. I really think that your idea is brilliant, and it's surprising that noone has built something like the 'combinator-thingy' you're suggesting. As far as i can see, it should be possible within the VST aplication programmers interface (api) to make a program that has acess to all parameters of all used VSTi's and VST plugins(they are acessible from cubase, so they are in memory somewhere) and that is able to link and combine parameters. I hope that someone finds the time to code it.

Its possible in synth edit using some external modules, and controlling everything through midi CC. The problem is that you have to preload the VSTs and then compile the unit. You cannot load new VSTs on the fly... Of course, what you could do is just use Synth Edit as a glorified VST hosting sampler, and grab the output from that.

Gotta say though, in practice this idea sounds cool, its nearly always quicker to set up these things individually. Very easier to spend hours tinkering around with amounts getting the sweep on multiple parameters just so, when it would have taken seconds to set each one up individually.

I'm working on an open structure whereby VST plugins are used in Synthedit in a step sequenced environement (bit like glitch), and vst plugins can be modularly 'dropped' into it. Basically any stereo plugin works, as long as I pre-compile it to take it (minimal effort) You can route four effect 'trains' together, either feeding each other or in serial or combinations.

The problem is that as you have to precompile, obviously you can't include third party plugins like waves or other, and then distribute it.
