Ok ppl! Thanks!
Other problem here too...
Sometimes when I close a sequencer for some time. Then listen to track of other artists and start to criticise comparing with my track, and frustration... Even depression... Then again start construction of my track and it starts me to irritate, as devil!!!

I know that very well.

I'm a bit a slow learner, had many breaks up to 3 years during which I did no music at all, but still got to the boom festival this year.

Look at this (1998):
http://www.subconsciousmind.ch/cgi-bin/sclitemp3c.cgi?filename=subconsciousmind-01-Number_One-(oldstuff)

5 years later (2003):
http://www.subconsciousmind.ch/cgi-bin/sclitemp3.cgi?filename=subconsciousmind-factsong_320kbps

10 years later (2008):
http://www.subconsciousmind.ch/scm/index.shtml (listen to the tracks playing in the background - 128kbps though)

If I had had the workshops on my website,
the software available today and this forum I would maybe have made in 3 years

Don't give up, frustration is part of the prozess, I still get frustrated about my music, I still feel small if I listen to a Infected track and I'm still not as good as I would like to be.

Don't worry man it just takes time, I've been dabbling with production since 1998, I got serious in 2003 and I didn't know psytrance existed untill 2005. I'm still not quite there, but I keep getting better. As long as you don't quit you'll eventually get your music sounding how you want it, so just keep going!           ~Airyck~

actualy there is one more level of criticism

labels

so after i heard it alone and liked
listened with few friends in diffrent enviourment and mood
i feel good with it now its time to send to label
if they buy it immidiatly its probably awsome track , if it take them few weeks to think its probably ok nice track and if they dont like it maybe some improve needed. offcourse make sure they have plan to realese anything soon hehe

hmm... thas little bit strange imo. i started producing psytrance since this march, and i often was frustrated, but sometimes i get music flash (from my sounds) what leasts a few hours, and this makes the whole thing worthwhile!

im checking this forum nearly everyday and the knowledge wont stop growing.
dont ignore threads, they all can be very useful!

best way to see your progression, is to listen to old selfmade tracks, ive got to laugh if hear my progression, because its that huge... but im stil often frustrated
