Creon Records return's with a debut release by TELLUS2 named addiction. This was the first I heard the TELLUS2 sound, and as a virgin of it I must say no more. This is a very good release bearing strong, powerful aggressive tracks, Israeli and Goa influences, tightly layered twisted psychedelic atmospheres loaded with stamina and emotion. TELLUS2 takes us from beginning till the end on a psychedelic adventure full of ideas and motivation, All dance floor oriented!!!

Official release information:
Tellus2 aka Magnus Bäckström is a one man project and consists of , Magnus Bäckström. He was born in Karlstad 1965 but moved to Örebro in 1966. His musical career started when he was 9 years old with a flute in his hand.

A beatiful and enjoyfull sound.
Melodic morning and night music directly from the forests of sweden.
It just gets better for each time i listen to it and discover all those small details and the wonderful atmospheres of melodies and twisted sounds.
Its hard on the dancefloor, energic in the car, lovely at bedtime and wonderful in the morning.
Favotite songs: Sagittal Section, Looking For Trouble and The Last Ride. |

I got it today. whoa! The CD is full of fun ideas and stories. I could feel swedish psychedelic-ness. I enjoyed a lot. Wonderful release from Tellus2!

it is very good for both danceflorrs and roadtrips in the car!
tracks 2, 4, 5, 9 are bomb!
its got some deep driving basslines and melody and very trippy.....

Sunny day in by the lake with the tunes by Tellus2 is like aaaah!
cant describe more then great job!
you must hear it to understand what i mean, its nice with some new nordic artist and not only israel trance, nothing wrong but it starts to sound a like.

Ok lets go..
A very nice album from the new artist Tellus 2.
Named Addiction and delivered by Creon Records
Sweden has never bringed the trance world such an wonderful unity of the swedish psycho sound and the beuty of full-on / goa trance.
With wonderful melodies, hard basslines and twisted sounds he open the doors to a journey that is hard to forgett.
Some tracks can be tricky to understand. But when you understand this wonderful art you find new tricks and small details in this mans music every time you listen to it.
Now lets start with the trax.
1. The Last Ride is the title and the last ride is the theme. You burn of with a car sample and picking up some voices on the radio. Bassline rollz and everything beginns.. Suddenly You are surrounded by twisted sounds.. wounderful melodies and wierdo samples.. The whole thing builds up slow and gently. A dance floor shaker.. after a few minuits it all slows down.. prepering to launch you in to trance. And then, you are running in a athmosfhear of twisted sounds, wonderful melodies and smashing drums. A really good first song.
2. Horizontally. Starts with an crazy sample. Love this voice. Must make you feel very small on the dance floor. The kick and bass starts and suddenly again you are in a crazy atmosfear of twisted sounds, melodies and smashing drums. Slowly the beatyful melodies are sneakin thru the fat bass. The feeling of happieness are appearing. Few minuits in the track you get some wonderful tones panning around your neck and a smile starts to grow. This track is a wonderful track to start a day on. Or end one. The powerful sounds just makes you wanna dance.
3. Global starts and i can feel some old school goa vibes inte the nice melodies, rolling bass and funky beats. And just when you are about to fly away the hard beats starts and he putts you on the floor again. Damn tweaky sound effekts in the bakground. Love it! Crazy breaks and flowing melodies make the track go slowly thru your mind. It ends with an amazing explosion of melodies, drums and tweaky effekts. A great track for all dance floor maniacs.
4. Magazine. It all starts with some sound effekts and playful drums. Sounds like the drummer had to much alcohol. The drummer ends his solo and the rollin bass are on. Damn hard. The drummer keeeps his work in the bakground of some crazy sound effekts. This track are hard as rock. This man just builds up the tempo more and more. Another dance floor monster! Crazy...
5. Fight it then. Hmm. A very happie beginning of this violent title. But when the bassline and beats are on you start to get a clue. After a couple of minuits it takes you into the violent direction. Very as in the earlier tracks a very nice combination of melodies and sound effekts. Later in the track a man tell us that it is war and soon the song are over. This track didnt and as hard as the other track. A little disapointment but still a very good track.
6. Looking For Trouble. Are he? Are we? Who? This track cant do anything else then give us pleasure. Starts with an nice melodie who devolpes into a smashing dance floor track. Builds up calm and funky. Bouncing bassline and tweaky sounds. As soon the drums do: drrrrrrrrrrrrr we are in a fusion of energic sound effects, hard guitar, beatyful melodies and playful tones panning round your head.
7. Mongo Bongo. Now this track is crazy. Starts with some kind of voice that presents us to the fat bassline. This track is harder than the others. Powerful! All the effects, noises, melodies makes me smile. A nasty break and the hardness starts out with an creapy voice thing. This track is for sure a hardcore stomp track.
8. Sagitall Section. Damn. Ah. Shit. This track is wild. Happy, evil & crazy at the same time. So damn fine. This track is one of the best tracks ever made 2003. Playful sounds in combo with those tweaky effekts, beatyful melodies and evil bassline. Takes you to another dimension. Takes you to the world called Tellus 2.
9. Who Are They? Starts with some robot sounds in combo with bongos. Funny track. Nice samples and melodies. The track builds up with the same energy as the erlier tracks and is not so special.
10. Ä/Attika. Like most of the artist this one does the same thing. A more calm downtempo track. Very cool sound effekts and atmosfear. But i would like the end of this cd happier. But this track with an kind of Oriental touch ends the album just fine.
This album is an great cd to listen to in the car, in the morning, when you read a book.
He could had worked a bit longer on the intros.
This cd fits every DJ's set. On the morning & on the night.
Love this mans art and will stay tuned for more high class psychadelica.

Great to see this nice response from you all.
Regarding Tellus2 forthcoming releases, Tellus2 is working on his second album in this very second!!! He will also have one track released on the compilation "the search for you" what is a cooperation between The Swedish mushroom crew and creon records. The release date for the compilation is set for the beginning of December 2004 and his second album will be released in the beginning of spring 2005. stay tuned for more information

I think that this album is one of the best in year 2003, because sound very special to me..last ride is one of the hell of the track..i can not stop listen to it..but other tracks are good too..last track attika is also very good track..there is no weak moments in this album..i am looking forward to hear second release..good luck guys and grettings from Slovenia
