Generally I think that in psytrance each track represents a journey. There’s a reason that the artist made the track the way it is, and DJ’s shouldn’t try to tamper with it.

On the other hand, I have heard a few nice creative mixes: like the one where track1 is played, then mixed into track2, but then at some point in track2, you hear some sequence from track1 again.

If DJ’s want to be creative, fine – but I’ve heard too many DJ’s (mostly in Denmark) wrecking a track because they’ve been playing with different effects. Ugh. Please get the hang of it BEFORE you try it in front of a crowd.

IMHO some application like Live and Vokator put the creativity at first place : putting Vokator as VST effect and Live as InWire Slave ( with some sampler as Master ) you can go to the hardware out for a gig with the deepest phantasy ; ]           ~~~~~~~~~~
