creating music without monitors??

i've heard that the WORST way to create music is using headphones...lots of people have advised me saying even if it is the worst monitor, its better than headphones...
correct? Wrong? Why? thanks...

monitors will give u a fairly good idea of how ur music would really sound on d dancefloor......creating music w headphones will not allow u to set d right levels at all....

its a very different things , monitors used for one thing and headphones for other.
you can use headphones to make a better mix , maybe inproving some points you not so hear on monitors. |

I'm using both headphones and not-monitors for my music... The result.. Well, can be better but it's ok.

thanks all for ur replies...but what if i use headphones to create the track & then later use monitors to adjust the volumes, bass etc? |

Thats what I used to do but know I prefer
building the track while im "mixing" and EQing it... |

you don't have to,
good monitors are very enoguh, headphones are advantage maybe

Im sure all of the artists use the headphones
while producing... playing with the Pans, Stereo, and basicaly to know hwo it sounds on a headphone ... |

I guees, I'm one of those few, who don't... 
I usually only use headphones, when it's very late at night and don't want to be "a disturbance to peace" to my neighbours...

zooter.....u'll just make life harder for urself if u make it on headphones 1st......n then adjust on monitors later.....its twice d work.....work on monitors n as mentioned above......use headphones when u can't blast d music.....or need to check other fine details |
