Hi Guys,
bit of a shameless plug:

http://cosmosis.co.uk/video-courses/creating-killer-leads-video-workshop

Note:
this one is for intermediate level so it may not be appropriate for any advanced tweakers among yourselves. However, intermediate level tweakers as well as people getting started should find it boosts their sound design skill level by several degrees.

Cheers,
Billy Cosmosis

Good luck with that.

New food for the discussion about paid help I guess

Small review from me:
As an "intermediate tweaker" i found the first videos to be very basic, but I think for beginners they are just right. After those it got really intresting for me, first time things like FM/RM were explained in a good and useful way. I did know FM before, but now I know how to really use it better. Thanks for that!

I like it too how everything is shown in three Synths and in different ways.

Since Zebra2 is my favorite, and I don't own the other two(Albino+Vanguard), I found it a bit sad that there come loads of patches for the latter two, but not for Zebra.
(Now I have to do them all by myself )

I also hoped to get some insight about how to make your lead instruments really cut through the rest of the mix, because thats were I struggle a bit atm.
But I am not thorugh yet tho, still 3 videos to watch today...maybe there will be such advice....

All in all: Great tut, well explained and encouraging to experiment. A bit more expensive than the last one, but still worth the money I would say....

Cheers,
Kryten

Hello Kryten,
developing your skill at sound design is the main thrust of the tutorial, and you only really develop that skill by practicing it.

But having said that, it's also good to have some juicy patches either to pick apart to see how they work or to tweak into shape.

Contact me and I'll sort you out with some nice Zebra2 lead patches

Cheers,
Billy Cosmosis

Yeah... really miss those webinars... wish you decide to do some more in near future...
As for 'Killer' Leads, I'm sure those videos will be packed with killer advice, as was your bass videos, however a bit expensive for my wallet at the moment, although I qualify for the discount! Good luck with that Bill!           www.myspace.com/antlabros

ppl ppl.
if you wanna be lazy, don't complain about the price.

otherwise open a synthesizer turn the nobs and listen. check out the extras, like in-built effects and matrix routing and all. and use what sounds cool..
this is my S100 advise..

he has some videos on the videolink (VIMEO) at his HP.

i checked some of them. i have to say there is really good, free info in it! for example the talk about bass (sweeps, eqing, multibandsidechaining...) all free info. i would spend the money, but i have other gaps then quality in my musicproduction (i think). i read tonns of info, and never tweek a knob... i guess thats what *eLliSDee* wanted to say

make sure that in this case your leads are lacking, the video will not fix every problem in your production. always work on your weakest spots and save money where you can.

@Billy
im interested in your offerings, could you have a listen to my track (soundcloud), and tell me if im a "advanced tweaker" or if i could need your offered knowledge

Indeed. The clue is in the title: Killer Leads

Unfortunately I have no way of telling you that because I don't know if you created the sounds yourself from scratch, if you used presets from a preset bank, or slightly edited some presets etc.
