this is a good topic and i though that the best sense of flow it's to be slow or not to be slow,there are no rules in this case, slow,faster, switching ,swing, in the melodies,lead,pads,synths drum,bass, the base of the electronic music its' the "loop repeat"that create the ambient of flow!.. dont you think!! my advice to this topic will be searching how to make the sound make flow in the air...!

Recently I've found that some simple arrangement techniques (if you want to call them that) can be used to make a track flow better.

Start a lead you're gonna use in the next phrase 4-8 (or more) bars before the new phrase and have the volume sweep up from a low value (-10db or whatever sounds best) to 0db.
