Oh my ... the party with Ticon in Aarhus got busted at 2-3 AM, apparently because of too many people at the venue.
It was a real shame ... a great place CreamCrop had found with nice atmosphere (better than most danish parties).
It was a nice replacement party at "huset" though, where some of the DJ's from the "real" party mixed, even though it was too crowded, and there was many problems with the sound.
Also great to see Ticon stop by, a shame they didn't play though...
Let's hope CreamCrop will get permission to have the party next month with Bitmonx and Genetic Spin, and the next party with Son Kite (so I've heard) - it's a shame to loose such a great place in Jutland.

No, it's not.
I think the police have closed 3 or 4 CreamCrop parties in Århus after a guy died at a party back in 2000.
As far as I know it was because of some pills containing PMA, the same pills killed 2 or 3 more people in Denmark in the same period

now i don´t wanna say i told you so, buuuut.
it really seems like the police has an issue with creamcrop since other organisers in århus don´t get hassled this way hmmm. although i don´t like the music i can sympathise with the ones looking forward to it and i know all about being dissapointed when the boys in blue turn up.
the only way to be súre that something like this don´t happen is to have all the necesary papers taken care of and if that doesn´t work then it is probably cuz they don´t like creamcrop and wanna shut down everyone of their parties. but i am not a mindreader and who knows what a cop thinks anyway all i know is that creamcrop is the only org who gets this kinda special treatment
i wonder why hmmm

Creamcrop isnt the only organizer who has had to deal with the police in Aarhus.
However, it does seem they have had their eyes set on especially closing down creamcrop parties, at least the ones going on outside the normal nightlife. I count 2 parties closed, both supposed to be special events, outside the town centre...
For my own dealings with the police in Aarhus, I can only say Im not surprised - They warned me about arranging parties in 2000, with the following line "No matter what, we are going to shut the party down, if its techno, we are going to shut it down, regardless". I asked them if they would do that if I could document that I knew everyone there, noone did drugs (lol) and there was less than 150 people and no public promotion. Didnt matter they said, "we are gonna shut it down". So much on that topic. I hope Creamcrop get themselves a lawyer, it doesnt seem theres anyway around it....
There was one exception, that being if I had someone move their "bevilling" ehhh, "License" to the venue, still, Im sure Creamcrop did that.. You could say, it went down the toilet still huh? :-( Im so skeptic towards the police in Aarhus, that I bet they would even plant evidence, whatever it takes, to put a stop to these "forbidden" parties.
They wont succeed of course, our passion for the music, is far stronger than their need to control what goes on in society.

Some new info (for me atleast):
CreamCrop contacted a lawyer, and the licenses where there. There was permission for 150 people in the big room (dancefloor) and 150 at the rest of the venue.
The mistake was that the owner of the building hadn't put the licenses on the wall as he should have, and that's why the police had a legit reason to shut down the party.
Latest thing I've heard, is that CreamCrop is pretty close to getting a new license for 450 people at the whole venue.
But still ... that doesn't quite make up for the fact, that there was loads of drugs at last party - and apparently some guy on E's collapsed in the bathroom - in front of the Police ... DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase
