freesound is probably a good choice, you can also experiment with ounds with some envelope on both pitch and filter, open up the attack/decays and see if you can simulate some low growl this way, and then take it to a wave editor and run some pitch shifters.
for the groaning noises part of it at least

Just find some squeaky doors. Sample those when moving them! Go fast go slow and record everything.

dude, i wanted to do this once and i pretty much got what i wanted... u need to take a nice wood hit sample(maybe snare or you should know what sound) and load it on granulizer.. pretty much like faxi said.. but this way it easy to automate and work
re-arrange what you thought was real |

That,or putting the wood sample into sampler, arpeggiator on (flstudio sampler have built in arpegiator),press some button and play with arpeggiator speed for making it faster or slower.
Many ways of doing same thing.
From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

You should try using Absynth. It has multistage envelopes, waveshaping, ring and pitch shifters and also sampler. Thats all you need to create such sounds.
The other technique would be sampler. Play with pitch envelopes on a cat or dog sample. fing something on youtube, that should be very easy...
If youll have troubles with absynth programming check this soundbank. There are few patches with such sounds...
