check if your rme and not the internal sound card that came with your computer...
if so disable the original card and replace
it with the rme...

if thats not the case ithink you should send
it to be fixed...

tell us more; how much latency do you have now in ms ?, what's the buffer size ?, what kind of driver are you using ?, which program are we talking about ?
can't help without more information.

u r compltly right.
so im working on 512 buffer size n that gives me approx 6 ms latancy.
im working with the nuendo n my hdsp 32/96 has a 2004 driver .
its odd cause even when i set the buffer size to min its stll gives me 1.3 ms lat but the recording doesnt come clean.isnt there a way that the recording will be in the same place as the midi note? hope i gave enogh info thanx alot anyway

I wish myself your latency anytime.

maybe the recording doesn't come clean because it loses buffers. anyway there is no way it can fall in the same place as the midi note because it will mean no latency at all. are you using VSTi or external hardware ?, try to record the midi and then export record the audio.

Had and have exactly the same problems. I also thought there was something wrong with my soundcard. It doesn't. We are just expecting miracles. The only thing that could possible be wrong is that your card is not using the ASIO drivers but it is using the emulated DirectX drivers. Does your card say in Nuendo (Emulated) next to the soundcard? If yes there is a file you must remove from a folder and put it inside the main Nuendo folder.
If this link doesn't help, noone can!!! Guaranteed!!
Maybe the moderators could put this in the FAQ.
http://www.jay.fm/miditime/

This is also a link you can find there, but it is diificult to find inside the page. It is a midi test for your soundcard. Very Helpful
