Are you guys making them as audio snips, and then put them into arrangement?
Are you sitting down and make aa extra crackle session, bounce them as audio snips, then use them for several tracks, or are you creating them on a track process?
thanks

some old FX i have made i save and sometimes reuse... though often you find that making FX of allready existing parts, drums, lead sounds.. ect ect will make it glue together better... instead of trying to make some other FX fit the track...
though somtimes just adding a good synth for FX and doing some cool stuff is enough...
you could do a rough mixdown of the track and import it to a clean project and go crazy with FX creation, casue you have a whole new project to drain the cpu with effects..
the methods are many...

I don't like to render them because then I can't edit the patch & notes anymore (except if I use freeze, because then I can unfreeze them; so freeze is good). But sometimes you've got to render to ease the CPU load or to process them in a sampler.
