Hello, i have audiophile 24/96, mixer Yamaha MG10/2 and monitors Samson Resolve 65a, when i create and listen to music there are a cracking noise like once every 5 seconds, i wonder what this is and how to get rid of it, is it the RCA cable from soundcard to mixer that isen't like it suppost to be, or is it the mixer that can't curry the signal ? hope u understand and can help me...
Thx in advance
Peace

Try playing with the buffer size in the sound card control panel, see if it helps. Increase it..

I don't agree its "m-audio quality"....

I never had any click problems

I'm using 512 of latency and is working fine

Yes, if you use 44100 samples, cubase will change it to 44100, at least logic does that

I use about 30 audio channels, 15 midi channels, and 5 bus channels per tracks, I would say thats about it....more or less of course

All packed with lots of effects on them between 2-5 fx per channel...

Of course I get some overloads sometimes, and have to manage ways to sort it out, (only do bounce of track in extremelly bad cases, I always try to avoid it)

But click noises I have never ever experienced....

PS- overloading will also depend on what sinths/fx you are using...most my sinths are hardware (recorded to audio) and fx I try to stick to logic ones...

My last track, just counted:

12 midi tracks (10 esx24 + delay lama + vb1)
25 audio tracks
6 bus channels

And a total of 132 fx distributed in this channels
(reverbs, eqs, delays, flangers, etc etc etc)
That about 3 vst per channel...

Running fine...If you don't believe me...man sorry but i really don't care...I have more important things to do than making up stuff like this.

About RME and others, Superglue, we had exactly same discussion in other thread about the same thing, when CHorman wanted a cheap sound card.

That was not the point of that thread, and again, its not the point of this one..

And I think doggek was refering to real noise, not overloading, read his post again

i went to work this morning, and got home and the crack was there again and now i can get rid of it =(
Flu you're right, i was refering to a noise and not overload, the noise sounds like this "CRACK" hehe, and it is there whereever i play sounds, winamp, windows media player, cubase etc etc
peace

deinstall all audiodrivers n codec ( ...e.g. divx too ) n install newest for your boom-card.
maybe it is a demo-version too, but i guess not if it appears if u play winamp too...

maybe your card is not good inside of it.check it.

about what fluo said:
even the RME cant handle 132fx channels even if you put only eq and reverb on it.Just cannot be.At least on PC.
i dont know maybe you have a G5 but as i understood you got PC.

also just cant believe you use so many channels and working on 512 with m-audio card the card's latency is not the best ever made.
