cpu going craze on my laptop,,,help!!!!

I have this laptop: HP Compaq NX6310 - Core Duo T 2400 - 1.83Ghz with 2GB RAM with 5400RPM Hard Drive.
And this sound card : Focusrite - Saffire LE.
My cpu in Nuendo is going craze jumping all the time,i try to change the latncy for the sound card and i try it with anather sound card and still the same problem.
And i know this is not wery strong computer but im sure that cpu must stay stable.
Please help!!! |

Hi,
Your CPU is dynamic switching.
Common on laptops. If usage is high, CPU frequency goes up and vis versa, to save battery.
Maybe you can turn this off in Bios, but often then CPU is set to minimum.
Solution:
Get http://www.diefer.de/speedswitchxp/
Lets you control all that. So you can set CPU Freq to max speed always.
Thats it.
