Ive been listening to lots of covers to other styles tracks.
I think it is great, but I was told that it is lack of creativity, what I completly disagree. I think the creativity is in choosing and making a cover that will fit & work in our style.
A list of the best covers I had listened :
James Laurence - Sweet Dreams
*Eurythimics Classic
Paranormal Attack – Seek and Destroy
*Mettalica Classic
Eskimo – Voodoo People
*Prodigy Classic
Adam Freeland – Smells Like Freeland
*Nirvana Classic
Wrecked Machines – Born Slippery
*Underworld Classic
The Melowvisks – Purple Haze
*Hendrix Classic
1200 Mics – Money for Nothing
*Dire Straits Classic
Please share opnions. |

Some cover tracks are pointless, some are great. It depends on if the artist is wanting to just make a cute dance remix to an old song, or make a good track with the old song being added flavour/influence.
Best cover song I have heard so far:
Slide vs. Healey - Wicked Behaviour
- cover of old Chris Isaak song "Wicked Game"
