hello,
i was wondering if anyone could give any indication of the processes used to create the bassline on cosma-simplicity: "out of range". I'm not asking for advice to go recreate this sound, however i have different ideas that i will be able to add, i just need this as starting ground.
hope you can help,
cheers.

its not a matter of being afraid, i just don't want to give off the impression that i'm asking for the this exact replica of this sound as i've seen alot of people get frustrated with in here in the past. I purely want it for foundations.
i couldnt upload a sample but: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display_release.asp?id=1876 has it. track 4.
cheers. |

Trying to imitate music you like can be very good for the learning process. Jimi Hendrix was imitating blues guitarists when he learned to play the guitar as well. Often, when you try to imitate something you come across new sounds and melodies you really like, and from those you develop your own style. It's when people use only sounds of one act, and copy the track structure of that same act and use the breaks of that very same act that i think they're pathetic.
As for the Cosma bass: i think he's using an amp modelling effect for a little distortion and for speaker-cabinet simulation. |
