Hello to all Israelis Forumers ! Hope you are going fine 
Just a small question..
I've recently read the term "Purim" a few time around here... and i am wondering what it is exactly..
A traditionnal celebration ? A kind of "springbreak" ? don't know what else ?
If U could enlight me up... Thanx !

hehe
purim is all about costumes...
this sunday people will dress up in costumes and march the streets in all kinds of parades (from school or whaever) with music and happiness.
there's a story behind all this, maybe someone else will tell it.

"Purim is the most festive of Jewish holidays, a time of prizes, noisemakers, costumes and treats. The Festival of Purim commemorates a major victory over oppression and is recounted in the Megillah, the scroll of the story of Esther. Purim takes place on the fourteenth and fifteenth days of Adar, the twelfth month of the Jewish calendar. This year (2003) Purim begins at sundown on Monday the 17th of March"

there was a man that called "Ahashverosh" and he was a king of the parsim and he have a assistent that called"aman" and he hate judes and he was maniak he want to kill the judes but he mass with the wrong people(Mordehai the gangster)and he killed him and because Aman's death we saved, happy and make an open fields party's.
