So I've been wanting to put together a set of psytrance that's dark, but not necessarily what a lot of people consider 'darkpsy' per se, and I think I'm pretty proud of this set, track-wise. I think the mixing turned out pretty ok, but I think I really need a new mixer with a little more control on the EQ (it feels like my EQ knobs are incredibly linear, instead of as logarithmic as I think I would like).
Dharmaharmony Records has really impressed me with all of their releases, and I feature a decent number of my favorite tracks in the first half of this mix. You guys know what's up!
Free Radical Records is what I consider pure, distilled dark psychedelic tweaked out madness. I'm always blown away by the insanity that Psyops brings to a party, and want to show a little appreciation for some of those sounds. When a lot of people are just making complex and sometimes convoluted darkly-inspired music, Free Radical manages to focus on that which is truly psychedelic in the dark spheres of our scene, I feel.
