I have come to the determination that I don't wish to live in the US anymore... I am looking at different Psy friendly countries where the scene is budding and will still have room for another fledgling psy producer. Roughly how expensive is it to live in South Africa? Preferably near or in Cape Town... Also what is the country's standpoint on immigration? I am just trying to get a feel for where I want to go...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Dude...

compared to the US... cape town.. is dirt cheap..

sure the rand is pretty strong to the dollar at the moment.. but i'm pretty sure it wil depreciate with time.

Cape Town is beautiful... and the psytrance scene is amazing... it's completely out of this world....
the weather is beautiful during summer..... sun.. sun... sun... and no wind!

come down.. and live the life of a god..

peace.

Thanks man, I think that I am gonna try to come out and visit within the next year or so... Start building a home base over there so my transition will be smooth... I made a few friends over at Timecode and I think that a scenery change is definitely what I need...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I went to that Rainbow nation site and I got some really helpful information on it. One piece of info that is invaluable is that the US is on great terms with SA to the point that if I wanted to visit SA, I don't even need a visa to do so. The question I have is, if I don't need a visa to go to SA, what's to stop me from staying there??           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I am sure that you will be undetected whilst not having to earn a living...above board... then the problem will be getting a work permit.
