Bilbo Bagginz is here again. The other half of Mumbo Jumbo and one of the oldest producers in the scene introduces us to his new work.Lets see what we have here.

Tracklist

01.Cosmosis-Contact
02.Cosmosis-Find Your Own Divinity
03.Cosmosis-Holografic (Time Space Illusion)
04.Cosmosis-The First Step
05.Cosmosis-Inner Space
06.Cosmosis And Shakta-Supernatural
07.Mumbo Jumbo-Weird Sick 'N' Twisted (Cosmosis Remix)
08.Cosmosis-Human Evolution (Sprach Zarathustra)
09.Cosmosis-Spankadelic

ATTENTION! Tracks 3 and 4 have wrong names on the album. So track number 3 is Holografic (Time Space Illusion) and track number 4 is The First Step.A mistake happened and they are named vice versa. The right tracklist is the one posted here in this review.

The album starts with a nice morning intro track that includes beautiful melodies and alien samples, nice beggining.
Then the party starts.Track number 2 has an amazing production quality like all the tracks in this album and some very nice backround sounds, this one can make people dance.
Holographic (Time Space Illusion) is the best track in this album and is one of the finest tunes i have heard for a long time now, pure psychedelic music at its best,a real dancefloor killer with superb melodies and samples.
The same applies for the next track which has a magic atmosphere and rythm, you have to listen to this one.
Inner Space is a very very good melodic track that is a mix between psy and club trance, perfect morning tune.
Supernatural is a collaboration between Cosmosis and Shakta, two of the oldest artists join forces in this one and the result is a very good and high production quality track, one of the bests in this album.
Next there is a remix of the famous Mumbo Jumbo tune Weird Sick 'N' Twisted that i didnt like much,i prefered the original version.
Human Evolution starts very nicely but the addition of those classic music organs and tunes make this track very average in my opinion, this one could have been so much better.
Finnaly there is Spankadelic,a fine outro chill guitar track, this album couldnt end better.

I suggest this album to everyone regardless age and style of music,Cosmosis is a legendary artist and his music includes innovative ideas and the best production quality that one can ask. With super killer tracks like Holografic (Time Space Illusion),Supernatural and The First Step and with fine tunes throughout the album this cd is a MUST for everyone.
Not to mention the amazing artwork on the cover.
Do yourself a favour and buy this one as soon as possible.

8/10           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Ok this album is one of my favorites in 2003.

Contact: is a nice chilly track , with lots of many interesting spacy sounds and a mysterious relaxing melody. 8/10

Find Your Own Divinity : This is an average track of the album , with lots of typical cosmosis noises and a steady bassline. 6/10

Holographic : Ok here we are , after a nice short intro description of what is a hologram the track starts to build slowly with lots of rhythmistic percussions.. 1.45 is when this awesome bassline hits and together with the percussions create a dancing movement...The last two minutes of the track include a nice uplifting proggy melody ! Overall great track for opening a party..
8/10

The First Step: This another good proggy track with good ambient layers , soft bassline , well build percussions. Overall very nice for the first morning hours! 8/10

Inner Space : The first killer track arrives in the album , reminds me a lot some old tracks of cosmosis but this time the melodies are magically work perfectly together with everything else in the track ! This a very emotional track , true uplifting trance music !!!
9/10

SuperNatural : The kick has changed from the previous track and the bassline as well. Some dark ambient sounds built slowly together with a very nice break-beat percussion .Around five minutes there is nice break and then the track builts once again from the beginning. A nice progy tune. 7/10

Weird Sick 'N' Twisted : Ok another killer track comes again , with an innovative voice sample loop(5:20 and continues...) and a killer bassline !!! This is a power track that could bring chaos to dancefloors . 9/10

Human Evolution : This actually my favorite track in the album! Again there is a nice fast bassline followed by some nice atmospheric pad sounds. The main part of the track includes the classic melody from the movie odyssey 2001 which is performed perfectly ! This is a track must for any sci-fi freak , and space travellers.. you know.. 10/10

Spankadelic : This a chilly guitar track that kind reminds me the sound of 70s space rock. I totaly agree with you detox this album couldnt end better !! 8/10

This album can be listened during all times and at the same time can work great in the dancefloor especially morning hours.. Its a very nice blend of proggy-psy space music , a music that came straight from the Stars!!

Final Verdict : 8/10

I could not agree more with Rabbit aliens conclusion, the only minor difference regards the criticism towards the song 'Find your Own Divinty', since I find this song something special, I rate it as one of a kind, been absolutly energising, and bouncy, not to say groovy and funky, also allowing me to jump around, perfect for any time of the day, especially if heard after first song, on the same album. If u like deep, groovy, original, storytelling, lively, heartdriven, enriching,.....plus I have not mentioned anything about Cosmosis´SSSuper (fresh) Bass lines...a unique album.

I bit of dissapointement to me from cosmosis - This album is much more club oriented which coloured this album in a very unlikable colour which I don't like personally ....

Of course some tracks are goodz - but - the whole album takes a club oriented feeling.

What do you mean by club-oriented? Certainly not 'housey' in this case.

Like rabbitalien I think this is one of the best albums of the year.... I especially like the way the tunes all fit together with samples being reused and themes reused.... Billy has clearly decided to write an ALBUM rather than just a collection of tunes.

I like Find Your Own Divinity a lot as well as W, S, T especially for the dancefloor. I hate Human Evolution I am afraid, but laughed a lot the first time I heard it (live...boast boast ...

The more down-tempo tunes are great, e.g. the first tune, and add variety to the album. I was happy to see Cosmosis updated for 2002 with great funky sounds and ludicrously clean production.
