The way I feel Green Nun, is since I'm opening... I pretty much have carte blanche to what I am planning on playing... I don't have to worry about if someone else is gonna play it before me... Not to mention that's only the first 2 hours or so of my set... There's still an hour and a half of stuff I haven't even mentioned yet... I hope people like Fungus Funk.... (I know I do)

Finally, I got New Age Surf yesterday!!! Digital Talk is the shitteee!!! Driving and rolling bassline!!! What an album! OMG They'll drive us craaaaazy!
Are they playing a liveset??hopefully.

They will not be doing a live set unfortunately... We only got one of them this time, Julien had another gig, so Luc will be coming to lay some shite on us...

Thanks for everyone who made last night an amazing time!
The party was great. The location was very nicely decorated, the sound was AWESOME
(i much prefer this setup to any others I have seen at the location)
The 'chill' area was also very well decorated and planned out - the couches were an exellent addition as well.
Props to all who made the party come to life (especially the people who collect the money at the gate! - they are so far from the music and prob. very bored!)
I got there at 2 so unfortunately I missed the 3 hour set i wanted to be present for but the artist who was playing from 2 till i left at i think around 530 was off the hook.
I was on the moon for about an hour and a half and i can only thank you!
I feel the future moving to that harder stuff too(it's soooo moving and deep).
The guy tripping out the dog tripped me out!
So...all in all i think it was a very succesful event and I see LA's party scene developing more and more - hopefuly that location will stay secure and no one will ever phuk with it - it should be marked as holy

I had a bunch of fun at this one...
Due to some sound issues, my set was a lot shorter than intended, but I still got to lay down the hard nasty for people... Luc had an awesome set, and I was more than impressed by the LA crew and the people that were there.... I can't begin to thank everyone involved for such an opportunity... Hopefully someone will let me play down there again...

just moved out here from san francsico...i was completely amazed and impressed with the space, and the people, and as for the music.....well thank you luc (digital talk) once again you destroyed me, mind and body, and i loved every minute of it! |

BOOM BOOM!
Was working all week since the party so did not get a chance to get online and put a review but here goes-
SMASHING, BANGING, FULL ON SHAZAAMMM night of dancing!!
lOCATION-
We all here in L.A just love this location.In the middle of the forest, surrounded by mountains, greenery everywhere!!I moved here like 4 months ago and this has been my second party here. No doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world when it comes to a party!!It cannot get better than this. Cosmic Activity along with members of psytribe did a beautiful job decorating this place up. Hats off to all the hard work put in for this, especially for the chill out sections. From the colorful flowers, to the couches, the lighting. everything was just perfectt!!I am sure the music was great there too even though i didnt spend much time there because of the psychoactive, mind bending sounds on the main dancefloor(lets face it, here in L.A we party two, three times a month and every minute possible is spent on the dance floor!!hehehe)!!Thank you guys for the great organization. From the parking to the lighting, speakers(what great sound!!) and work around the area,everything was well taken of.
The Sound-
The only flaw i saw was the sound system knocking off a few times during Mubali started off. I knew there were problems there as the music started pretty late like almost midnight. I was all worried about missing Mubali's set but made it there on time!I guess there was too much load on the generator thats why the sound kept going off. But Andy and the crew did a great job of working out the problems and there was no iterruption the rest of the night.If i remember correctly there were three tops each side)correct me if i am wrong!!) and like a base each on both sides. Throwing out some loud, clear, crisp sounds, shaking, bangind the entire forest!!
The artists-
Mubali-
Great set my friend. Its real imoprtant to mix it up these days and not just FULL ON all the time. There were some real groovy sounds in ur set and i really loved it!great samples from Kill Bill 2 . You did your homework man!!Great stuff. Big Bada boom from L.A my friend and hope to see you around here more often.
Digital Talk-
Even though i was very disapointed that they did not play live music(i had no idea until i saw Luc just spinning), and Julien was not there, the set was just fantastic. Luc hats off to you and the great set. From the full on dark psychedelic sounds at night to the great switch over to the morning sounds when the sun came out. You sent me in another dimension with some great djiing skills and some awesome track selection. the sample "cant sleeep!!" still comes to my mind everyday!! It was also great talking to you in the morning about 'New age surf' and the ideas behind it. Hope to see you in India soon my firend!!Boom, Boom and best of luck in the future!!Boom Shivaa!!
Andy-
We all love this guy, he has contributed soo much to the psytrance scene here in L.A. I knew who he was but never had heard his set until today. What great sounds my friend. When you played some Perplex music i was just in sheer happiness.
The last guy before i left:)-
I have no idea who he was but some great music from him too.
Rock on Cosmic activity, hope to see you guys doing more parties here in L.A. Thank you everybody, see you all for DINOO Psaras.
That will probably be my last party at this location(or is it at the same location??) , unless there is a party there before august(i leave for India).
