And I have to say this as well: I also wonder if the censoring of free psychedelic drug talk here on Isratrance has actually on some level also contributed to this Yuppie mentality where the drugged out crazy freak tripping high who felt free in the Goa dancefloor is here being told shut up or leave. Like this almost goes against the spirit that started this scene. So I wonder what effect that has had on the forum and if it has contributed to decreased user activity in the last years and if it has also in turn influenced the mentality in the scene outside.

Yes I do think at many parties now days people are using non psychedelic drugs and by this I mean mostly mdma/xtc. I dont know about the whole music changing because of this. I find Psychedelic trance today really fuckin psychedelic! I mean there are genres people categorize as psytrance which I feel really arent that psychedelic and maybe that caters more to the these other nonpsychedelic using ppl.
And yes Isratrance does have to keep the drug talk on the low down for very important reasons.

I think the music of the past (pre-2000 or so) was equally good with MDMA or with psychedelics
now it seems like it's split into two categories, one of which is mainly suited for MDMA and one of which is mainly suited for psychedelics
could just be all in my head though  |

Nowadays the new trend is to say drugs are bad, or that you dont need them. So just learn the new cliches for the new times so you dont look bad in the next festival
talk about how "cocaine and mdma is destroying the scene and the music".
Or say that "in the old times psy music was good because they used more lsd"
Or that people just go to party to use drugs

I don't think that you need to be on psychedelics to enjoy psytrance every time.
However, I think if you have only ever listened to it sober, you are missing part of the equation. You just need to combine the two things once and then the channel remains open |

exactly.I think when you are not able to enjoy your favourite sounds without substances than something si going wrong.
And if you can both than you can enjoy both sides differently

if you can enjoy without... than yeah.. mescaline is also huge or psylocibin .Natural bless.But than again I know there are many people that cannot imagine to enjoy psytrance music without psychedelics.Im happy Im over that time

true i guess i'll reach there soon one day ..
but u gotta start with it to understand the music ( atleast i did never liked electronic sounds before) .. the power of trance changing ur emotions( n a lot more) when connected on a psychedelic is jus too awesome ...

All the best music that was ever created was created using hearth, drugs and real good fricken equipment...These three elements combined make it happen you take one element out and everything is lost...If you don't use drugs it doesn't matter, if you choose to use them it doesn't matter everybody is free to choose! But beleive it or not The Psyhcedelic drugs or plants are a one of the main factors in music creation, it is fact that once used, you expand your creativity and enter the realm of the dreams. In here frequencies can be controlled to give the people specific feelings and emotions, this is the secret of pychedelic, this is what we feel while we make music, it's like painting a world of colourful sounds and feelings...
Hope this helps you understand more the psychedelic side of the story

well more than drugs its what people expect the effect of the drug to be...in that sense the expectations are derived from the collective of users, abusers and experimenters. after that what happens is that people are informed what to expect and based on that the experience is created...more than the drugs effect its the effect of the mindset that you are in, and what comes out is the mind, the drug just an external influence just like some artists get influenced by Jim Morrisson or Justin Timberlake. New dimensions are discovered, new ideas are created, but the dimension from were psychedelic comes from exists and is a reality some of us experience many times...So you create what you see in this dimension and it's all infinite so there is no end to imagination in music or in sound! Music is all there, it has always been there in it's own dimension, we are just discovering it very slowly

well for some reason I think if you never have heared or enjoyed music psycedelic deep music for the spirit on psycedelics than you probably wouldnt enjoy without.But once you know you have it and can dug out like a dejavu or backflash you know than how to get deeper to the psycore.So I agree.I have fallen in love of goa music on a huge mind expanding long trip.It was like a rebirth in this life for me.I felt universal love for every killer banging tune and each shredder acid frequency and all around me- a healing acid shower .Before that times I was for some private reason a very sad guy for a long time.After this expirience I felt in universal love at least for all what has happend in that old psycedelic parties and transformed it in my private life even though a bit undercoverly.
