If you make a remix with some one else material then you are not allowed to use it in any way (post it in forums, share it, stream it etc.) after the competition is over unless it is stated that you are allowed to exploit the remix.

In the linked topic it was clearly stated that he is not allowed to exploit the remix.

A remix is never your copyright. Even after a release.
