unproject and sound surgon and niKc got me so far 
om talking about COOL stuff , not normal stuff like flange/delay/reverb..
ohh and faxi , you got it all wrong.. what you can do with ghost chanel is much more then you can do with wet/dry
try please one hit of snare
send channel 40%
add on send nice stereo delay (100% wet)
now add deep phaser after the delay
you get dry snare , with flanged delays 
do it any other way , you simply cant get to it.
after long discussion with oldschool mind , i have to point send fx in apps much diffrent from real mixing desk.

why not?
just bounce the snare
make a copy
put a reverb in soundforge 100% on the copy
put flanger on the reverb
mix with dry file
i'm not saying sends are completley usless, and are probably still great for live situations... but there isn't something you can do "just by using sends" these days.

yea this will work bro , only shame this way takes about X10 time
also , i hate open soundforge/wavlab , your sequencer should have all the opions within.
and again , usind this send for 2-3 channels give chrechter to the song as well.. with your way will be hard to reproduce the same fx for several sounds
give it a go , i found this to be so intresting , i think there is alot to it..
NY Compression

nice technique , used mostly for drum and rythmic section , possible to master witht his as well , known also as Parallel compression :
have you drum loop running
dont use any compressors on this channel
send signal to ghost copy (send fx)
add on send channel , harsh dirty compression (ratio of 4:1 , with tresh of minimum -10db on normalized loop)
change % wet of send channel , try to avoid phase problems if need , and if possible.

well, im on logic so i do NEED to open soundforge for offline stuff, but as you are on cubase, you can do all this offline inside cubase...
and it doesn't take a long time but nevermind, i will give it a go indeed just cause i haven't messed with sends in a while so why not
