@vegetal
heh heh.. well, i wanted it to be in the right place, and my second home - which is here
@danieLs@n
my friend designed it for the magazine Gakken. he also has another kit synth, but its kind of high-level, i.e. you gotta do some soldering (which is high-level for me) http://gaje.jp/analog20/kit.html
the first site i listed is an importer, but i think you can buy from amazon direct without the import markup
@0hz
maybe, but i think your missing the point
@piko_bianko
why thank you sir! enjoy!
@Zoopy
heh heh.. i'll have to look for that..
theres all sorts of mods and circuit bents for it.. some cool ideas in the magazine too.. albeit its in japanese.. even a rotary speaker mod using a fan or something..

In recently studying circuit theory I discovered how simple the principles of making oscillating circuits and filtering frequencies is.
It has had me thinking a lot lately about getting some proto-boards and creating some mock up sine wave oscillator and a filter system. It of course will likely sound dirty but I can mess around with it as a nice DIY project.
I also want to look into compining some sine oscillators to create more complex waveforms, but for the moment I can't think how I would do that correctly.
I know an engineering friend of mine made a compressor for his guitar in highschool, I've been thinking it would be fun to make some really tweaked outboard filter. |

Well I looked at allot of vids of this little synthi and im
trying to understand, what can it do? I mean
what kind of sounds are there beside this high sound?
Didnt see any interesting demonstration of this little
toy.
Can someone point me where can I see some interesting sounds of it?
Or can someone say that he has been using it in music production?
thanx...

its an analog synth, so in that respect it doesnt compete with digital synth/toys that have alot more functions
playing it is by a theremin style slider played with a metal 'pen', so in that respect it is kind of hard to play melodys, but it is good for sweeps and sound effects, and being analog the sound is pretty good, no stepping or aliasing.
its really supposed to be around 30 bucks (if you buy it in japan) from amazon its the same price, but shipping and import tax etc may boost it up a little bit. but for 30 bucks it is a pretty cool little analog toy imho

Just got mine in =) Looks quite funky! Just need to put it all together.. Can't wait to use it! It would be a great reason to get all the dust of my kaospad 2 as well.. Should be a nice duo for some funky sounds!
Any other similar funny toys around? soundcloud.com/supergroover |
