And your neighbours hate you because you forget to turn your speakers off before going to work?

would u ask an artist to paint with his eyes closed?? its Dadaism man, just generic stuff that has no soul in it, unless its got some odd reason why u gna make sounds without hearing them i would not suggest u doing it, lol
coz theres no telling what itl come out like.....

im pretty sure the point is to try something new since you wont have your ears to communicate to your brain and take you down the same old path making the same old stuff there is no telling whatll come out. the point i think is to force experimentation in a fun way maybe itll completely suck but there will be one thing that blows you mind seriously get away from the molds i like your thinking asaaf
im in.
@ glitch if painters never tried experiments frowned on by the mainstream theyd all still be painting fruit and fox hunts. how many people do you think told van goh that he cant paint the sky like that because its not the way its supposed to be done. if it werent for crazy experiments wed be trapped in a world with no culture no inventions, no science, no creativity, ultimately no life. (or at least no life i would be able to be a part of)
@ everyone
seemingly crazy things are what makes a creative genious not trying something with a predictable outcome.
people afraid of failure never experiment. then there are others whos constant failed experiments lead them to something truly genious. to all out there keep failing you cant afford to waste your time being predictable.

ok then good point. there is alot of crap passed off as art because of the attitude of the creator. just because i could make a 12 minute track of pigs oinking doenst mean i should
perhaps these are two separate things though you are not taking the entire artist away just the mainly used sense. so maybe this is more an exercise on how to not just follow what your ears tell your brain but also what your eyes and the other parts of your brain have to say. maybe its more about usining all of the tools you have at your disposal. i know im not the only one who just follows my ears. This could help train us to conceptualize more before starting a project. Come up with a rough idea for your painting before you even get to the canvas.

very good point i must say
maybe also teach us to imagine what it would sound like and try get it as close to what it really sounds like, this would be a very good technique
