I have fun mixing midi in loop and have nice results .I've made a preset with zeta and added some midi arp the result is crystal clear frequencies arpreggios that I like but the problem is that one side is a few decibels louder than the other.
I've modulated in zeta a cross delay..
I don't like to go mono in this case. How you deal with stuff like that?
Is is maybe important to have such values in mind and kinda balance it off during the track, like making the other side louder for the same time with the same difference of decibels? ..on another part of the track.
ps it's like left - 3,76 db & right - 9.79 (maximum peak) .Avarage rms db is similar Difference.

Compress or limit to catch the peaks.
I know what u mean tho. I'm usin uhe ubiks tremlo panner, try another delay on a fx channel to even out the swing.
Or wider boy pro to contain the beast

Or does ya arp synth section have individual velocities u can alter for each note like on sylenths.

Hey Jiz' that are some cool recommendations.I will try that .
I used arpache 5 (arp) midi plug in cubase as insert in the midi channel.
On vsti channel I only use the standard eq here.Maybe later on audio channel sth additional.
Later after merge midi in loop I deleted some notes and changed a few, that is a nice way to work with midi plug ins ,I think.
I will try your suggestions to improve.
Cheers

put on midi insert the arp - there is no heavier arp imo.I know the most of them.Gat'R maybe is nice-damn I have to sleep this aint no arp hehe. The zeta one is kool but limited and the results are very standard. No other sounds as crazy as the midi arp for mi,it sound simply awesome - after merge in midi loop and self correction.
I like to put the new merged in midi file again on that track with the arpache on,the results are fine and there is room for cool experiments.
I'll try your advice later to have the peaks in more control. Thanks mate.

they are crap, use your ears. i've heard countless examples of people who've mixed with spectrum analyzes, and been like "i checked this mix and it was flat and even in a spectrum analyzer" and it ended up sounding like balls.

you should be training your ears so you can hear what are the fundamental freqs of a particularly sound in the mix. as for your using it to check overall levels, every mix needs a different approach. some more bass heavy, some a brighter mix, etc etc, there is no 'one curve fits all' so trying to use a spectrum analyzer to mix is pointless cos you don't even know how the curve is supposed to look until you've finished mixing..

I don't know what you mean,I tend to forget that a spectrum analyser even exist.OF course I use my ears often even hardcore curves ,however just to my liking not cause of some figures on an analyser.
I should learn to get more use of it.
Do you mean this thread ?
Arpache 5 and the most midi plug ins are great for me

..with correction I mean I correct notes of my liking after the 'Merge In Midi' process .

Have you gone into project setup and adjusted the "Stereo Pan Law" ? when you use stereo panning, depending on the panning law, you get a volume increase when things are in mono as opposed to stereo splitting the channels... if you are just using cubase normally without going into project setup, then the stereo pan law is about 3 db...

Otherwise using compression or limiting after the panning just to catch those small peaks would be a good option...

No haven't gone there for long.I once did so but forgot to change again when installed a fresher version of cubase.
Thank you Mubali.
