Alright so i've been working my ass off for the past couple of weeks & am supposed to receive a fat new paycheck..
I think i've slowly got together most of the stuff that i've wanted to get which includes monitors, soundcard, synthesizer, headphones, bass traps etc..
So now i'm wondering if i should get a control surface that i can use with my sequencer to eliminate clicking with the mouse all the time..
So far the mackie control universal looks pretty nice:

I can't decide if i should get this or save myself some cash & get a Novation Remote SL Zero instead:

Since i already have a Virus TI Polar, i don't really need the keyboard version of the SL as i can use it both as a synthesizer and midi controller.
The automap functions seems really neat, it would be a plus to be able to tweak the vsti's & the mixer with one unit. Has anyone used the Remote SL with Cubase SX? I'm wondering how it compares to the mackie controller.

Hey Atropa!
How easy is it to use the SL zero with the cubase mixer? Do you have to assign the faders or is it done automatically?
What kind of issues do you have when using it with cubase?

the mixer is done automaticaly..
i had some issues with recording automation using the automap universal feature!
to explain.. when u open an albino 3 u get the knobs assigned automaticaly to the remote although the filter freq knob was working normally when recording the automation its didnt record the cutoff frew but the osc balance..?
and even if i setup the knob manually again its recording the balance knob!
i hope its some kind of a bug and it will be addressed soon.
