ok, here comes the contstructive critisizm about Destiny:

1. the quality sucks, but i think its maybe because of lo-fi mp3

2. some things catched my imagination, but it happened really rare

3. i like all kinds of weird soundsfx, but it comes kind of messed..

4. i dislike the same bassline through whole track

5. no melody at all (but maybe that's subjective again;)

6. repetitive, although many things going on - most of them are either very likely or just the same

7. i liked the vocals and various percussion kinds

overall: 6/10
dont take it personal, just constructive =)

what style u put it in? is it progressive?
hardware made?

try my sound, man.. see my topic in this section of the forum

brainstorm - please show me a trance track that is NOT repetetive in ANY way whatsoever !

even better, show me any style of music, whether it be rock'n'roll or rap that has no repetetiveness.

* ALL GENRE'S OF MUSIC HAVE SOME KIND OF REPETETIVENESS INVOLVED IN PRODUCTION.

i get sick and tired of hearing this remark, thats all. its not that i'm against critisizm, i just think people could use more imagination to describe such things....'too repetetive' is used too loosely here.
every track is repetetive cause the drum keeps bouncing, bouncing, bouncing - lol (joke) please see the funny side of this comment fellas

thats all - nice track dude - keep it up.
peace

first - i said many things besides repetitive, it was just a little part of the feedback

second - you wanna hear what i consider as not repetitive, try MFGs "The Prophecy" and "New Kind Of The World"
and many Astral's tracks arent repetitive too

here.. i shouldnt go far - check another topic in this forum section: "Psycho Babble"
that track doesnt sound repetitive to me

its not about the bouncing bass.. its about variety of synths, different schemes of breaks, different bassline and of course different percussion + kick combination
not the same kick-hihat-snare scheme through all the track

brainstorm - i know what you are trying to say, but for me, the trax you have mentioned are 'repetetive', In the sense that this is the kind of music that has been played at parties year in, year out.
and its tiresome to my ears these days - its nothing new thats all.
its just my opinion, no need to argue my friend - peace

I agree, we of course shouldnt fight

everybody has his own preferences and its not good or bad - its just unique

for me - there's no music which haves the present and the past, man
if the music is good and i like it - i will listen to it years after it has been released
and if its bad - i wont listen to it even if it has "new" things

well said mate
right on, i do admit i was generalizing

btw : what you say - "everybody has his own preferences and its not good or bad - its just unique" is a great bit of wisdom my friend

fair enough for the critisms ,but arpeggiated powerrifts arnt my thing any more. just trying to make twisted electronic music without having to rely on the same software and sound synthesis as a lot of other people. does all psy have to be catagorised by Astral Projection? they are the forefathers of a new breed of electronic music, but there are definately alot more acts which have made a larger impact from a variety of angles.....
