also Auralviolence, all that you mention is event level stuff, right?. Its all there for panel i/o, patch cords. All they have to do is put in logic for an "a to e" auto conversion then you can modulate an event signal with an audio signal.

Right. And what does reason's CV can ? To analize the frequency (no, it can't as I remember) or level of the audio, if we compare this to reaktor, and use the result for modulating any control events ? Aren't there the similar possibilities in Reaktor usiing "A to E" modules ?

What's the reason for a to e autoconversion, if there is "A to E" module in Reaktor, and you can insert it where you want ?

Check out that second g2 patch i posted in the other thread. I added 3 lfos to the first patch and wired them up with 6 clicks.

Yes, I'll check it a bit later. Now I don't have G2 demo installed..

I checked your G2 patch. Now I undersratnd what do you mean Of course, for building the same structure in Reaktor you need some more clicks than 6 For example, there will be not so easy to connect 3 LFOs one by one (one LFO output modulate the rate of the next LFO) because you need to multiply the LFO output values (-1...1) to some value, and that will be FM amount, and may be to use modules like "Expon (A)", "Log (F)", "p2f" and other similar modules in the sctucture. So, yes - it's some easier to build some simple structures in G2, but from the other side - you can do much more complicated structures in Reaktor, because all can modulate all, and one of the main things why I love reaktor is that you can see and control all it values (you always see digits, values of parametres - real values). For example, you know that, if you want to FM oscillator in range -200...+200 Hz, you need to multiply modulation oscillator's output (-1...1) to 200, and can do it using fixed value or as using the fader/knob with 0...200 range - so you can control all on deep level, and see real parametres values. And you can see and control absolutely all as in primary level as in core level similar way - that's the main thing why I love reaktor so much I think you understand what I mean So, on my opinion, Reaktor is much more modular software, than G2, and, of course, much more than Reason. May be only MAX/MSP is so modular as Reaktor

Aural, I totally know what you mean.
Some things are easier to do in reaktor but the patch cord interface does have some real advantages as far as experimenting if you don't know what something is going to sound like. Doing 3 LFOs like that, of course you have more control in reaktor but its a huge pain in the ass. With the patch cords, if you don't like it modulating the parameter you set it to, 1 click throws it on another parameter. in reaktor you would have to spend a few hours wiring up a matrix.

The a to e stuff, all i ment was that everything is right there for NI to make a module that sends an audio/event signal to the panel from in a macro, then have a patch cord you can connect to another macro on the panel level. The reaktor community would probly have the nord modular copied in 2 days. I really hope they do this for 6, it would be incredible.
