If you want to use the seperate track cueing feature, to preview a track without actually loading it into a deck, then you'll need 3 stereo outputs.
Why would you want to do this? Well, because any tracks loaded into a deck & played is put into your playlist. If you want to maintain an accurate playlist, you'll need to set this up with 3 stereo outputs, and your mixer will have to be able to tap into that 3rd preview output in some way.

This is wrong i guess the external mixer would do the mentioned 3rd output's job. |

As I said, this is only if you want to keep traktor's playlist feature accurate. If you don't care, then you only need 2 stereo outputs.
