Connecting MOTU Traveler through a USB/Firewire Hub

I just bought this externally powered USB/Firewire Hub, but when I connect the MOTU Traveler to it, my computer doesn't see that the Traveler is connected.
Does anyone here use external hubs to connect their audio interface? I just want to know if it's possible and if I can get it to work.

Even if it works you can get drop outs , occasionaly high pitched noises and what not, the AI needs to be plugged into your system. ITS A MUST! no compromises
