Can someone give me a piece of advice...
I'm using Battery as a sampler in SX. How can I connect just one sample to effect (for example, to put the delay only on hihats, but not on the kick and snare)?
thnx |

u need in Battery to put each sample on a different box and set each box to be on different Battery Channel.
put the marker on the 1/2 channel and press it and while pressing it move your mouse up.
thats it.
tell me if you did it ok.

hehehe...
if it didnt work, it may be because you do not have multiple outputs set up. this is what we are doing here - using more than a single output from battery (they will appear as multiple channels in your SX mixer). first we must make sure we have setup multiple outputs. hit the "options" button on the right (underneath "file" and "delete") and the output settings are there.
its worth pointing out that this setting is GLOBAL to every time u open battery, is it not saved separately per song. so if u have a song with 3 stereo outs and 3 mono outs, then u change battery to use 2 mono outs, and then go back to your other song, all battery's output will be fucked up until u change it back! just a word of warning!
because of this its probably best to set it up generously and flexibly and then leave it like that. so that you dont get confused its also best to get a "system"! for example, i always have 5 stereo pairs- i will generally use them like this- kick 1/2, snares 3/4, hats 5/6, cymbals 7/8, and whatever else (congas, etc) on 9/10.
when u have multiple outputs setup, here's how to assign each cell..
-click on the cell to highlight it
-click on the box in the very bottom-right hand corner. it should say something like "1" or "1/2", just above the label "OUTPUT". hold down the button and drag the mouse upwards. it should scroll thru 3/4, 5/6 or however many outputs you have setup. clicking and dragging downwards changes the output back down again.
hope this makes sense!
