Ultimae proudly presents Connect.Ohm [ 9980 ] a collaborative album born of the musical encounter between composers Hidetoshi Koizumi aka Hybrid Leisureland and Alexandre Scheffer aka Cell respectively based in Tokyo and Paris.
The composers discovered each other's work through solo albums previously released on Ultimae, and on a brief meeting in Paris in 2011 decided to blend their worlds of sounds and textures. The outcome is subtle and emotive.
The nine tracks released on [ 9980 ] compose a ballad in atmospheric realms where finely chiseled rhythms and fluid melodies are sustained by discreet downtempo grooves and deep drones.
A pure delight for vast soundscapes audiophiles.
As usual, looking forward
Cheers !

I've been waiting for this release ever since they first announced it. Sure it will be a next-level release!

I just pre-ordered the digital version. I was thinking of ordering the cd, but at €5 it's a bargain and I won't have to wait for postage. (and I'm running out of space to store cds).

the freet rack has simply been blowing my mind. if the rest of the album is like this, and it seems by the samples, i believe we have the album of the year, my opinion of course. it is no secret i am big fan of cell´s music and this one is really worth the waiting for the phisycal CD.
Schofield, i belive you are right and i should by in an instyance the digital version of it, but i need to keep my ears closed to the digital format, and i will wait for the physical cd. i belive it is something very special that comes in there. i´m an old fashioned and i like to have the physical so my grandsons can sell it when i am long gone from this place hehe..but i feel very tempted to buy the digital asweell..oh my oh my..what a dillema hehe

Yeah I love his music too, but I think that this is also a good opportunity to say that Hybrid Leisureland's music is really special as well.
I really love his album 'Scroll Slide' from 2010 - It's absolutely beautiful , and I think should get more attention.
This track, combined with the visuals, really touch something deep inside my soul.
Cheers !

I'm with a3k on this being the release of the year. Can't wait get my copy in the mail. This is definitely something that deserves a physical CD.

I agree with what you say a3k, re the physical cd. If someone who doesn't know the music is rifling through your collection, they'll get more out of it if it is physical cds than just a list of filenames. Filenames don't kickstart the imagination or curiosity anywhere like actual album covers do.
